What do we know by Drone?
In recent years the word Drone has been introduced into our language so that we make daily use of it. But, do we really know what its meaning is?
The word drone originally in English meant “drone” (male of the queen bee), which was subsequently applied to unmanned aircraft, for its buzz.

Therefore, all aircraft that can be piloted by means of a remote control / control will be drone without the aircraft being manned. So this has being the exclusive use of the word to ships that travel by air.

Origin of the word “Drone”
This English word comes from the Germanic treno (drone), from the word drunjus. Drunjus was used in the Gothic era (noise), and from the Greek “threnos” (funeral song).
In the year 1946 it is named for the first time and thus the word drone with the meaning of “unmanned aircraft”. It was documented, by a publication of the << Popular Science >>.
This technology was incorporated into the military scientific advance after World War II. It was not until 9/11 and the birth of modern terrorism that drone technology was actively used for the military field.

Currently everyone can buy a Drone, either in a street-level establishments or through online sales platforms such as Amazon.
We must remember that a Drone can be piloted remotely by a person. It can also fly autonomously following planned flight plans through software, they are a GPS positioning system.

Accessing one of these flying devices is very simple today. There is a wide variety of these drones, at a very affordable price depending on their purpose.
